Holy Family girls hockey program has developed into one of the top-ranked high school girls hockey programs in Minnesota. Growth in numbers and talent for the Holy Family Catholic High School Girls Hockey program created an opportunity to exist independently beginning in the 2018-2019 season. Multiple varsity players continue on to college hockey programs across the country. This year’s varsity team has players who are committed to Boston University, University of Minnesota, The Ohio State University, Dartmouth College, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Long Island University, University of St. Thomas, and Adrian College.

Coach Randy Koeppl joined the Wildfire girls hockey program in April 2017 with a wealth of coaching experience, including 15 years of coaching at the high school and club levels.
After a standout career at Bloomington Jefferson, where Coach Koeppl played goalie on back to back state championship teams, he went on to play in the USHL, and eventually for Coach Woog at the University of Minnesota. He’s remained active in the game ever since, coaching varsity boys hockey at Holy Angels, and most recently at Hopkins High School. In addition to his high school hockey coaching commitments, Coach Koeppl has also been serving as a leader and mentor in Winny Brodt-Brown’s OS Selects all-girls hockey program, and coaching in the Eden Prairie youth association and Team MN.
